We are pleased to announce that our very own Kay Mitchell, Critical Care Senior Research Manager, University Hospital Southampton, has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the BACCN conference 2017. Due to the overwhelming success that was the 30th Anniversary, the BACCN have decided to yet again return to the City of London, for the 32nd Annual BACCN Conference, taking place on the 4-5th September 2017. Titled "Building Interprofessional Teams to Enhance Safer Critical Care", they will be presenting a packed schedule of seminars, keynotes, sim labs and workshops. Kay's talk will be on "Ultimate Team Collaboration: Xtreme Everest 10 years on".

The British Association of Critical Care Nurses (BACCN) is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of nursing in critical care. We aim to:

  • Provide a National voice to shape the strategy for critical care nursing.
  • Promote safe, quality evidence based nursing care to the critically ill patients.
  • Provide wide ranging benefits and opportunities to BACCN members.

The BACCN is one of the leading organisations in critical care nursing. BACCN was established in 1985 and has grown and developed through the hard work and dedication of its members, regional committees and National Board.
