AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon, that allows you (the customer) to not only enjoy the wide range of products, low prices and convenient deliveries as you would on Amazon.co.uk, but also give you the opportunity to donate to the Xtreme-Everest Research Charity at no cost to yourself.

For every purchase you make on the smile.amazon.co.uk, AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of the net purchase (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to us. All you need to do is assign Xtreme Everest as your chosen charity.

As well as the regular 0.5% donation, AmazonSmile also run regular bonus donation weeks, which could see 10x more being donated to us (so 5% instead of 0.5% which will help us fund more of our vital research. FAQ

  • Is there any cost to Xtreme Everest or to customers?
    No. Xtreme Everest don't pay any cost to be a part of this scheme, and neither will anyone donating to us. The shopping experience is identical to amazon.co.uk with the added benefit that Amazon will donate to the charitable organisations selected by customers.

  • Does AmazonSmile / Amazon charge any administrative fees or take any deduction from the donation amount?
    No. Xtreme Everest has enrolled to receive donations, but there was no cost for doing this and no fees are taken by AmazonSmile / Amazon from the overall donation amount.

  • What purchases are eligible for donations?
    Millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. Recurring Subscribe-and-Save purchases and subscription renewals are sadly not currently eligible.

  • When will you receive the donation from AmazonSmile?
    Xtreme Everest must accrue a minimum of £5.00 to receive a quarterly donation. If we fall below this, the money raised will be rolled over to the next quarter to be added to that quarters raised funds until the £5.00 minimum is reached.
