The Intensive Care Foundation

The Intensive Care Foundation

The Intensive Care Foundation was set up in 2003 but The Intensive Care Society, with a specific aim of both facilitating and supporting high quality collaborative intensive care research in the UK.

Part of their work has seen the formation of a patient and relatives section on their website that provides useful information, such as detailing what happens on a ITU ward to the rehabilitation of a patient after a stay.

There are also informative leaflets which can help people set up a support group or information on who in the hospital can assist with concerns you may have.

These resources and many more can be found on the Intensive Care Foundation website
