The Xtreme Everest research team support studies involving detailed physiological profiling of fit and healthy volunteer individuals, who are experienced explorers engaging in extreme physiological challenges such as long-duration polar travel. The studies have significant scientific value because of the rare opportunities to do high quality science in relation to these very unusual physiological challenges. The results will add to the team's understanding of the physiological challenges faced by critically ill patients.
