Jim Milledge

Dr Jim Milledge has been involved with high altitude medicine and physiology for over 50 years.

Jim was a member or the 1960-61 Silver Hut Expedition, led by Sir Edmund Hillary and Dr Griffith Pugh, which pioneered studies into high altitude physiology; the expedition also made the first ascent of Ama Dablam, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. He was also the only non American on the 1981 American Medical Research Expedition to Everest (AMREE) trip.
